Lost to Find!

I yakked, yakked and yakked forever
All day, all night and all the time in between.

When there wasn't anyone around to yak one day...
I heard the world around talking to me.

I talked, talked and talked for long
Somewhere, Anywhere and everywhere in between.
When there wasn't anything to talk about one day...
I listened to the birds speaking to me.

I spoke, spoke and spoke for a while
To anyone, everyone and no one in particular.
When there wasn't anyone left to hear my speech...
I heard the trees whisper to me.

I whispered, whispered and whispered a lot
To bees, plants and the soil in the pots.
When there was nothing left to whisper about...
I observed the flowers wafting in breeze.

I looked at, smelt and touched the flowers
And walls, doors and shelves full of books.
When they remained stoic, just staring at me...
I sensed the depth of silence in them.

I roamed and remained silent, with nary a noise
Around, along and afar from my home.
When my presence on the path was no more special...
I felt a surge of joy springing within.

I stood there still, not seeing, hearing, smelling anything
And nothing was left to taste or be touched.
When this and that wasn't at odds anymore...
I experienced a presence, engulfing my self.

I lay there silent, shattered to smithereens
With all that was mine, found nowhere around.
Then everything was me and I was all things....
I knew my Self and realized Life, the way it is!

Be Joyful & Spread the Cheer :)

I am. Not!

In the higher peaks of me
I tried seeing myself,
Only to realize...
I am not my Self.

In the denser forests of me
I tried smelling myself,
Only to realize...
I am not my Self.

In the broader spectrum of me
I tried hearing myself,
Only to realize...
I am not my Self.

In the deeper oceans of me
I tried tasting myself,
Only to realize...
I am not my Self.

In the farther lands of me
I tried touching myself,
Only to realize...
I am not my Self.

I tried seeing far, but
Could not see my Self.

I tried smelling deep, but
Could not smell my Self.

I tried hearing sharp, but
Could not hear my Self.

I tried tasting strong, but
Could not taste my Self.

I tried touching hard, but
Could touch my Self.

I tried, tried, tried, tried and tried…

In the vaster expanses of me
I tried thinking of myself,
Only to realize...I am not my Self.

I tried again,
And then realized…

I am neither the peak,
Nor am I the seen...

I am neither the forest,
Nor am I the smell…

I am neither the spectrum,
Nor am I the sound…

I am neither the ocean,
Nor am I the taste…

I am neither the land,
Nor am I the touch…

I stopped trying,
And then realized…

I am a distant relative of Self
On the rare occasions we meet,
I think...
Self contemplates... and
Both of us remain Silent!

I fell silent,
And then…

In my quest to find my Self
I realized I am not myself... and
Only when I and me disappear,
The Self will appear!

I remained silent,
And…

The Self is the peak and seeing… and
Beyond the heights seen.

The Self is the forest and smelling… and
Beyond the dense smelt.

The Self is the spectrum and hearing… and
Beyond the sounds heard.

The Self is the ocean and tasting… and
Beyond the depths tasted.

The Self is the land and touching… and
Beyond the reaches touched.

The Self is the mind and thinking… and
Beyond the expanses of thought.

I remained…

The Self is the sense… and
Beyond the senses!

The Self is the thought… and
Beyond the thoughts!

The Self is silence… and
Beyond the silence!

The Self is all… and
Beyond the all!

The Self is I… and
Beyond the I!

I...

The Self Is…
I Am. Not!

Silence!

Silence is the call of the divine!
Noise is how we try to understand any communication,
No different from the bovine.

Silence is the medium for transformation of the soul!
Noise is the way of transaction of ideas and thoughts through words,
Eerily like an animal’s howl.

Silence is singular and omnipresent, yet not listened to by many!
Noise is varied in form, tone and pitch,
Yet conveys little to a limited number of listeners, if any.

Silence, when deep, will open the floodgates of tears!
Noise, when loud,
Will force one to close both ears.

Silence is easy to practice, even in large groups!
Noise isn’t that easy to avoid,
Even in small troops.

Silence pervades deep within and can result in instinctive action!
Noise prevails at surface level,
And mostly results in impulsive reaction.

Silence establishes a strong connection between the transmitter (Guru) and the receiver (seeker)!
Noise the weakest connection between two,
That conveys very little to a listener from the speaker.

Silence is practiced by most beings other than human, living or not!
Noise is prevalent among humans,
Who don’t care to comprehend this gift that all other beings got.

Silence is the white light that illuminates the soul and guides one on the journey to self-realization!
Noise is the black hole that sucks away all energy,
And misguides one on the tour of self-preservation.

Silence is the symphony where the body, mind and soul synchronize in perfect harmony!
Noise is the cacophony that tears apart any semblance of vibration,
Resulting in utter disharmony.

Silence is the gentle breeze that lets one sway to the tune of nature!
Noise is the typhoon that blasts away one’s ability to listen,
Reducing all and sundry to a mere caricature.

Silence is the only manure ever needed for the self to blossom!
Noise over a long tenure will drown one,
Inside a painful, worry filled chasm.

Silence is the source of creation, emanating from the sacred AUM!
Noise is the cause of destruction,
Encircling us in a meaningless word filled storm.

Silence is the eternal state of bliss, for all realized beings!
Noise is the infernal state that has gone amiss,
For most human beings.

For all those who chose to merely exist in this lifetime,
Noise holds sway.
For the few who chose to live Life the way it is,
Silence is the Way!
